Moonrising was founded in 2012 to support and facilitate opportunities for differently-abled creatives. It is the collaboration of Barbara Mirata and Loane Ferbac.
Our past work has seen us offer lifestyle training & advice, 1:1s, body-awareness workshops, video choreography, as well as networking, performance and production experiences. We think holistically, while being inspired by multiple creative forms - particularly dance and music with a sensitivity for the visual arts.
We are currently evolving, looking at ways to create a spaces for work to be developed, platformed and shared. .
We Seek to:
- Empower creatives who experience disability and/or barriers due to health.
- Encourage collaborations between disability identifying and non-disabled artists from different backgrounds
- Enable people to achieve the best of their potential and to realise their artistic ambitions to high standards.
